We are excited to share the news that the Common Ground Forum has won the Innovation Award at the RSPB Nature of Scotland Awards! These awards recognise individuals and organisations making a difference across local communities, schools, and businesses to support Scotland’s wildlife and natural environment. For everyone who has been involved in the Common Ground Forum process and conversations so far, for your commitment to work with others in a respectful way towards a more positive collaborative future, this award is for you!
Julie Stoneman, Chair of the Common Ground Forum said: ‘On behalf of everyone in the Common Ground Forum, I’m delighted we have been awarded this Nature of Scotland Innovation Award. When we started this work almost four years ago, many people felt that we had set ourselves an impossible task to try to tackle the decades of conflict that had plagued the deer management sector, but the results are showing just what can be achieved when the right people put their minds to something.’
Thank you very much to all the individuals and organisations that have supported the Common Ground Forum.
